Deussen Ranch is located in South Texas, which is subject to periodic droughts
and hot summers. This can present a challenge to ranchers and wildlife.
At Deussen Ranch, we believe that we have a responsibility to the environment as
an owner of rural property. We maintain large stands of brush for native
wildlife to use for cover and food. We also make an effort to minimize the
use of herbicides and pesticides, which may have ancillary affects.
It is our hope that native Texas wildlife will have a place to live and thrive for many
generations to come, so that our kids and grandkids can experience the enjoyment
that we lived growing up in Texas. |
