Brush Management |
At Deussen Ranch, we maintain one improved pasture
for hay production. Our remaining pastures are maintained in approximately
one-third managed brush and two-thirds improved pasture. The improved
pasture is allowed to develop small stands of brush (approximately 5%) for
wildlife cover.
We feel this provides a good balance between ranching and wildlife, which allows
us to make a living and provide for the wildlife that depends on our property as
much as we do. |
